Use 3D CAD software to design your parts and products
Set it.
Thin layers of fine metal powder are evenly distributed using a coating mechanism onto a build platform.
Build it.
A 3D object is created by selectively melting the metal powder, creating 2D layers until the process is complete. This is accomplished with a high power laser beam of hundreds of watts, all taking place inside a chamber containing a tightly controlled atmosphere of inert gas.
